How do you get Ransomware?
Ransom malware which is also called ransomware is a kind of deadly malware that steals and locks the users’ files to prevent the users from accessing their own files. The cybercriminal demands ransom from the users for them to regain access to the locked files.
Malware authors have found different ways to infect the users’ computer. One common technique is the malspam which sends emails carrying malware in the form of attachments, documents in either PDF or Word format. The spam mails can also contain links to malicious websites.
There are certain instances when malspam has implemented social engineering techniques to trick users to click on the links or open attachments. Malvertising is yet another option that the malware authors use online advertising to infect the system with malware.
